Todmorden 513

Todmorden

Todmorden 513 is a magical piece of music requiring intense concentration and endurance from performers, who must sustain long pitches, continually adjust intonation and keep track of their place in a score where all the parts are independent of each other. Reuter’s use of a self-created algorithmic compositional technique follows in the long lineage of German musical organization from Bach through Beethoven, Brahms and Schoenberg and this highly tonal and sensual, one might almost dare to say “romantic” work is a wonderful addition to the contemporary orchestral repertoire, and deserves wide hearing. Live at the Orpheum

Live at the Orpheum

Released to coincide with the 46th anniversary of King Crimson's formation in January 1969, Live At The Orpheum featuring performances from the band's critically acclaimed, sold-out 2014 US tour.

Comprised of 41 minutes of material by the newest incarnation of the band fronted by the line-up's formidable three drummer setup, Live At The Orpheum has been mixed from 24-bit multi-track performances recorded at the band's two concerts at the Los Angeles venue. Featuring a mixture of new and old King Crimson material - some being performed live for the first time - the album is due for release 13 February 2014

The Road to Red (2BD/DVD Box Set)

Road to Red

Between April and July 1974 King Crimson embarked on a tour of Canada and America which has come to be recognised as one of the most powerful series of concerts performed not just by Fripp, Cross, Wetton and Bruford but by any band of the era.

The band, who had been rarely off the road - except to record studio albums - chose to perform a selection of recent material from the then newly released Starless And Bible Black, older fan favourites, newly written/then unrecorded material & nightly improvisations at a level described by many eye-witnesses and observers as “the most intense” gigs they’d ever attended.

A total of 16 concerts are featured across 20 discs, with the studio “Red” as the 21st CD.

USA (CD/DVD)

KIng Crimson USA

The ninth release in the King Crimson 40th Anniversary series.

USA was originally issued in 1975 and marked the final statement by the band's incendiary mid-1970s incarnation.

The CD features a completely new stereo album mix of the full concert by Robert Fripp & David Singleton, while the DVD features High Resolution Stereo mixes (24bit/96khz) of all three editions of this album/concert.

Uniquely, of the releases in this series, USA is presented in Hi-Resolution stereo only - not 5.1 Surround - as Robert Fripp decided that the live power of the quartet is best experienced in stereo sound.
